The The May issue of Monthly Shonen Ace magazine that goes on sale in Japan this weekend will formally announce the production of a new installment in the Blood: The Last Vampire anime franchise. CLAMP will provide the story and original character designs for “Blood-C,” which Production I.G will animate. The new story will also get a manga adaptation by Ranmaru Kotone (Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo -Tokikake- manga) this May. Co-creators Mamoru Oshii and Kenji Kamiyama created the Blood: The Last Vampire franchise which launched with a 2000 anime film and has since expanded to an anime television series, novels, manga, video games, and a live-action feature film.
